The Blue Tulip Awards (formerly Accenture Innovation Awards) is an annual innovation competition for the most innovative Dutch products, services and concepts. The aim: to raise the level of innovation in the Netherlands to a higher level, and to reward companies that work hard at innovation. For the theme Health, UV Smart is the 2020 award winner.
In the first category of the evening, UV Smart won the coveted title. They are developing a new application to use the cleaning effect of UV radiation to clean medical equipment and materials. The technology can be used for cleaning mouth masks, among other things, and is therefore more topical than ever. In addition, it was important to the jury that this application offers progress for both care providers and patients, Heyning said.
